History

The Battledore Cup is a long standing tradition of the SBL - this tournament has been running since the start of the league 1972.  Battledore comes from the original name for Badminton - Battledore and Shuttlecock. 

Format

The format of this tournament does change occasionally to encourage more players to participant.   This year is as follows:

• 2 singles rubbers (anyone can play)
• 2 mens doubles rubbers
• 2 ladies doubles rubbers
• 2 mixed doubles rubbers

Prizes/trophies

There will be some small prizes awarded to the winners and runners up.

Entry

To enter the tournament, please email enquiries@solihullbadmintonleague.co.uk with your team name, player list (2 men, 2 ladies).
There will be an entry fee as detailed on the right payable in advance (preferred) or on the day before any play takes place.
